Creative Brief

Identify a social issue and begin designing for a 3-episode mini-drama. This can be based on the background information collected by CCPP or the student’s own interest.

1. Clarify the Communication Goal
2. Explain the problem the group will be addressing and why it is important
3. Identify potential desired behaviour for key primary and secondary audiences and psycho-social profile (geography (location), economic, social status, age, gender, media habits, literacy, current knowledge attitudes and practices)
4. Identify potential Desired behaviors
5. List some of the barriers and facilitators that would influence the primary and secondary audience
6. Call to Action

Submit a Design Document that will include:

1. Develop Transitional Character Story Outlines for two characters with a behaviour change objectives (BCO) for each character. Each transitional character story outline should include how the characters transition through the different stages of change (including challenges and setbacks, etc).
2. Describe the Universe: Map and description of the setting and how the character interacts in the setting.
3. Describe key events are within the story that inspire or block change and articulate the key barriers and facilitators at each event.

Final Artistic Product Presentation

Artistic Product Design Document and scripts – Final treatment includes:

1. Revised items from Assignment 2 (Transitional Character Story Outlines, Universe, key events) plus:
2. Full story outline in narrative forms including dramatic situations
3. Profiles of other important characters
4. Scripts
5. Creative Presentation
