02 November 2017

Center organised a panel discussion on the drama serial ‘Sammi’ at Kinnaird College. The panelists included famed celebrity Mr. Ahad Raza Mir, who played one of the lead roles in the drama; Mr. Ehtesham Abbas, Senior Media Advisor at Center; Ms. Natasha Ejaz, Program Specialist at Center; as well as Ms. Komal Ahmed, Assistant Professor at Kinnaird. The panel explored various societal issues and themes as shown in ‘Sammi’ and the use of entertainment-education strategy applied in the script. The discourse also touched upon Mr. Ahad’s character, ‘Salar’, a strong proponent of women’s rights.

The drama serial was jointly produced by Center and MD Productions, a sister concern of Hum TV.
