A 22 episode drama serial “Mujhay Jeenay Dou”  co produced by Center with Angelic Films is on the multiple social ills of our society primarily focusing on the issue of child marriage. It’s a story of Saira and her challenging life journey from an eight-year-old child to an adult in an environment dominated by taboos and social barriers. Directed by multitalented  Angeline Malik  and written by Shahid Nizami ,the drama has a star cast of Hania Aamir, Gohar Rasheed, Nadia Jamil ,Sarmad Khoosat  with Mehreen and Ali Tahir. ‘Mujhay Jeenay Dou’ integrates the art and strategy of entertainment education and also highlights the issues related to maternal and newborn health, thus, educating people on necessary actions that have to be taken by the society at large for bringing a positive change. This drama is part of a series of drama serials funded under the entertainment education initiative of EVA-BHN program.

Directed by a renowned director Saife Hassan, and written by a celebrated drama writer Noor ul Huda Shah, after a gap of more than five years, Sammi is based on the art and strategy of entertainment-education highlighting the issues of women empowerment, maternal health, son preference, girls’ education and patriarchy existing in our society.

Feature Film ‘Bol’

The film ‘Bol’ was co-produced by Center for Communication Programs under the Pakistan Initiative for Mothers and Newborns (PAIMAN), a six-year project funded by USAID and designed to reduce Pakistan’s maternal and neonatal mortality and improve child health. The groundbreaking film has spurred national and international discourse about gender equity, family planning and maternal health. While the film is aimed specifically at opinion leaders and policymakers, it has received critical and widespread acclaim in over a dozen countries across three continents.

Drama Series ‘Paiman’

‘Paiman’ is a 13-episode drama series originally aired on Pakistan Television (PTV-Home) in 2008 under the USAID-funded Pakistan Initiative for Mothers and Newborns. Each episode of the drama series is based on real-life issues of mothers and newborns in Pakistan derived from primary research. The scripts of the drama series is written by Noor ul Huda Shah whereas some of the top most television directors of Pakistan directed its various episodes.
