A full-length drama serial “Sammi” on women’s issues in Pakistan jointly produced by Center and MD production, has a star-studded cast with Mawra Hocane in the lead with Adnan Siddiqui , Saman Ansari, Sania Saeed, Asif Raza Mir and Bilal Khan. Directed by a renowned director Saife Hassan, and written by a celebrated drama writer Noor ul Huda Shah, after a gap of more than five years, Sammi is based on the art and strategy of entertainment-education highlighting the issues of women empowerment, maternal health, son preference, girls’ education and patriarchy existing in our society.
