Addressing Barriers to the Use of Magnesium Sulphate for the Prevention and Treatment of Eclampsia

As a sub-grantee of the White Ribbon Alliance Pakistan, the Center is tasked with developing several education material to address barriers to the use of Magnesium Sulphate for the prevention and treatment of preeclampsia and eclampsia in Pakistan. In this regard, the Center will be developing policy briefs on the use of MgSO4, IEC material for Lady Health Workers, educational material for general public, educational cards and posters for community-based health workers, monitoring tools and guidelines for health managers as well as messages to address barriers through consultative process at national level. These material will be developed, in consultation with concered health functionaries over the course of next 15 months in 2012 and 2013.
