Documentary ‘Raising the curtain!’

Center is proud to present a short film on occupational safety and health standards in the textile sector. The film promotes a unique concept called the ‘Return on Prevention’, illustrating the potential economic benefits of complying to occupational safety and health standards. 

This film was developed by Center in partnership with GIZ and Center for the Improvement of Working Conditions and Environment (CIWCE) to improve labor standards in Punjab.

The English language short documentary includes interviews and feedback of the students who attended these events which aimed to shed light on the social and cultural issues as raised in the film.

Through Bright Star success stories and expert commentary, the documentary demonstrates the efforts and impact of USAID-funded Health Communication Component (HCC). The 13-minute documentary is primarily in English, with non-English content supported by English subtitles.

Documentary ‘Sammi – An Epic Drama with a Purpose’

The documentary narrates the entire story of the USAID-funded Health Communication Component (HCC)’s entertainment-education drama ‘Sammi’ in a visually appealing manner. The narrative is told in the words of the lead cast, director and the technical lead. The English-language short documentary also covers development, delivery and impact of the drama serial ‘Sammi’.

Documentary ‘Call to Life’

Documentary ‘Call to Life’

The documentary is based on the intervention that engaged muslim scholars across Pakistan for promoting mother and child health. It gives a detailed insight into the entire activity in approximately 13 minutes. It comprises brief statements by Muslim scholars, representing different Islamic sects, on the issue of mother and child health and success of the intervention.

The documentary comes as very convincing that may as well be regarded as a ray of hope.

Documentary ‘Mohabbatein’ (Love Story)

Center, with funding from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, develop this 10-minute documentary focusing on factors leading to poor maternal health. It presents compelling information in a dramatic way, linking the timeless love story of the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, who lost his wife Mumtaz Mahal while she delivered her 14th child, and issues of maternal and newborn health in Pakistan today.
