AWARD ON EXCELLENCE IN HEALTH JOURNALISM

The Center for Communication Programs Pakistan (CCPP) and the Center for Excellence In Journalism (CEJ) signed a contract on October 26, 2016, which will serve as a basis to increase recognition among media houses and to create prestige and enhance the scope for health journalism in mainstream reporting.

This contract confirms the decision of both parties to continue to work together with the aim of engaging journalists and gatekeepers and to recognize rights-based approaches, story-based inquiry or investigative journalism in media coverage of the social sector. The Center for Excellence In Journalism CEJ, a collaboration between the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), and the Medill School of Journalism at North western University has been awarded the contract for this initiative. Their partnership with an established academic institution like the IBA adds credibility, prestige and bipartisanship to the Award. CEJ will announce the award in November 2016, which will be conferred at a gala event in January 2017.
